More progress on the stone outside. We have made the decision to arch the top window opening. It's stronger and doesn't require steel lintels like the rectangle does, and looks about the same.
So don't freak out, this is a horrible picture, but this is the faux finish. You will just have to trust me that this looks fantastic.... Has a lot of depth rather than the stuff right out of the can...
This is the first color, it's very thin, but pretty loud...
Then they kill it with this, which is like dirty chocolate milk. It collects into the cracks and uneven places and really lets you see the texture of the stucco.
Inside, the glazing really warms things up and brings all the other colors together.
Again, not good pictures, going into the guest foyer.
Living room fireplace, which tonight I cut the hole that accepts the top mounted outlet for it. That old beam was tough...
